Advocacy & Digital Skills for Women Councillors of Sindh

LCA Sindh has arranged an interactive workshop in collaboration with CLGF and the EU on Advocacy/Lobbying and Media skills for Women Development Committee, Sindh. The members of WDC Sindh participated from all over Sindh.

CEO LCA Sindh Mr Anwar Hussain delivered a productive session on the necessary skills for Advocacy and lobbying and Communication & Media coordinator Mr Umar Imtiaz Rana delivered a kick start session to women councillors to make them learn better digital skills.

The training aims to impart and enhance women councillors’ knowledge, skills, and ability in carrying out advocacy and lobbying activities. Also, Participants will have an improved understanding of Information of things and Media usage. The training covered different manners to involve the smartphones and internet in action to increase the political participation of women and to keep themselves up to date with the latest developments and knowledge.

In the end, Chairperson WDC, Sindh, Ms Shahnaz Sheikh gave closing remarks about the productive workshop and thanked LCA Sindh, CLGF, and EU for arranging the session.

The smartphones and internet have a crucial and increasing role in shaping the image of politicians on social media. Similarly, Advocacy and lobbying are effective ways to identify and articulate solutions to complex issues through committed efforts impacting public policy on individuals and communities.
