Sindh Government and Local Councils Association Sindh in talks to improve Sindh Local Government Act 2013 with an Amendment

Local Councils Association Sindh and Commonwealth Local Government Forum have arranged a consultative meeting with the support of the European Union regarding the Amendments in Sindh Local Government Act 2013.

The meeting covers meaningful suggestions to improve the legislation SLGA 2013. Mr. Nasir Hussain Shah, Provincial Minister for Local Government, and Ex Provincial Minister for Local Government, Labour & Education, Mr. Saeed Ghani participated in the session and tendered their valuable suggestions to improve the Local Government legislation in Sindh. They said, they will make the legislation more beneficial for the Public.

LCA Sindh was represented by President LCAS, Mr. Kumail Hyder Shah, Local Government Expert, Mr. Javed Hasan, and Strategic Advisor for SALG Mr. Anwar Hussain with the Provincial Coordinator, Ms. Sepal Bachani.

Secretary Local Government, Mr. Najam Shah accompanied by Ex-Secretary Local Government, Mr. Roshan Ali Shiekh presented all the technical details about the transition and possibilities of implementation of presented suggestions with supporting quantitative data.

Both parties reached at harmonious conclusion and agreed to schedule more meetings for further steps towards amending the legislation.
